Here are some brand new illustrations from a new book I have just completed illustrating called ‘The Islamic Calendar‘ by International Islamic Publishing House:
This Islamic calendar (or Hijri calendar) is based on the phases on the moon rather than the movement of the sun. Here’s an illustration of a group of Muslim kids observing the moon’s phases through a telescope!
Dhul Hijjah is the month of Hajj! And here’s an illustration of some young children making the tawaf around the ka’ba with full devotion!
Muslims celebrate ‘Eid twice a year: ‘Eid ul Fitr at the beginning of Shawwal (at the end of Ramadan) and ‘Eid ul Adha on the 10th of Dhul Hijjah (after the Hajj). Here’s some Muslim girls having fun on ‘Eid and wishing one another with the sunnah ‘Eid greetings: Taqabbal Allahu Minnaa wa Minkum (May Allah accept from us and from you!)
Jum’uah (Friday) is the best of all days! How should Muslims spend Jum’uah? Here’s an illustration to explain…
Men must attend congregational Jum’uah (Friday) prayers which include a khutbah (sermon).
The month of Muharram is an extremely virtuous month, full of blessings. Many important events in Islamic history took place during the month of Muharram. The 10th of Muharram is called ‘Ashoora’ and Rasool Allah (SAW) recommended that Muslims should fast during this time as it was the same day on which Musa (AS) and Banu Israeel (Jews) were saved from Pharaoh by Allah.
The illustration below depicts some aspects of the month of Muharram… the sea splitting to show how Allah saved Banu Isra’eel and the water and dates illustrate the importance of fasting during ‘Ashoora.
So what did you think of my work? Let me know in the comments below!
And keep a look out for the book soon from IIPH insha Allah!
Assalaam-u-alaikum…
I haven’t posted anything in the longest time… But I thought I would share this interview I had about my comic series, ‘Life with the Ahmad Family‘.
Hope you enjoy it!
Jazakum Allahu khair to Ummah.co.ke for taking the time out to helping me tell people about the Ahmad Family!
How do you motivate yourself to face the day each morning? Some blessed individuals just need to hear the words of their beloved Lord… Here’s another little illustration I did for IIPH’s Facebook page.
Assalaam-u-alaikum!
I recently was interviewed by Sufi Comics. They were interested in my comic series, ‘Life with the Ahmad Family‘, how it came about, etc.

Jazakum Allahu khairun to Sufi Comics for giving me a notice! 🙂
Here’s an infographic I recently completed for a brother named Shakeel Romero who does a lot of great work ‘inspiring’ the youth! It will soon be available at http://www.shakeelromero.com.

Here are some ‘Happiness is…’ posts I’m doing for International Islamic Publishing House’s (IIPH) Facebook page. The idea is to encourage Muslim families to read, learn and teach… Enjoy!
